BEHIND THE LENS
I am a former Studio Artist at Crealdé School of Art. As many artists, I have a passionate ideal for my own art; ultimately, I decided that I enjoy the freedom of working on my artistic vision for my images and have enjoyed the ability to exhibit my work while receiving commissions, grants, and private purchases.
As a native Floridian, I am drawn to the topography of the area. My Exits Less Traveled images were inspired by family car trips throughout the United States. While the images are artistic, I believe they are stronger for the documentary background. My passion for documenting the ever-changing cultural/social Florida landscape is balanced with my portraits and figure studies, which fulfills my desire to photograph people. although this isn't a large part of my portfolio; It has been a valuable resource for experimenting and learning new techniques allows all my photography to grow - as my better work lays in my future.
